Hello!

Welcome to my website. I am a painter who was taught by a very talented graphic artist called Tony Blain. He inspired and encouraged me to exhibit my paintings at his framing shop and gallery in the Elham valley, Kent .

Many years on, I now operate from, and teach, my own adult artist workshops. As well as being great fun they are also immensely satisfying. I am regularly asked to take on commissions. Working mainly from photographs, which I find the most practical way to work, the finished article never fails to please.

Most of my inspiration comes from living in the beautiful Kent

countryside, with rolling hills and miles of diverse coastline,
walking my dog and riding my horse.
Carrying a good digital camera as a matter of course, I am able to
capture any image that takes my eye; from the finest detail of a
beautiful butterfly, to the undulating hills with a moody sky hanging above.

In addition to my portfolio, I have designed and painted murals; large and small and even designed ground level playground art at a local school. Whatever the brief; painting large abstracts, working from photographs or painting murals, inspiration is never lost as every commission is different.
